Mostly he he didn't get a reply or he was usually told that his Finnish weren't good enough. His Finnish is excellent. They come to that conclusion by looking at his name.
A few companies didn't wanted to employ him because he was over qualified. Many foreigners who study in Finland can't get a job afterwards in Finland, so they immigrate.
The Fins feel like they are getting used. In real life even if you speak a perfect Finnish most Fins will assume by looking at your name alone that you have limited Finnish language skills.
I saw once a document about a Somali guy looking for a job in Finland. When he was calling the company they usually said OK ( his Finnish is perfect. He sound like a Fin ) but when he turned up in person they refused him the job finding all kinds of lame excuses. Other times the conversation on the phone went allright but when he said his name the conversation quickly ended.
