Entitlements are NOT the Problem.
The
2013 Ryan Budget approved by the House included $1.4 TRILLION for
military spending, while they estimated America would only receive $1.2
Trillion from Income Tax.
The biggest question is what America as a Nation can AFFORD to do.
Let's stop the Spending Insanity!
Let's get our Fiscal House in order!
If
we decide to only spend three times as much on our Military as the
second biggest spender on Military Spending, America can cut $10
TRILLION from our Military Spending over the next Decade.
(Note:
The 'official' Military Budget does NOT include Nuclear Bombs (Energy
Department), Spy Satellites (NASA Budget), Coast Guard (Homeland
Security Budget), Military Pensions, VA Hospitals, GI Bill, Military
gifts to Allies, etc.
The 'non-budget' items cost about the same as the 'official Military Budget'!
The
total military spending recently approved by the House Republicans is
$1.4 Trillion while America receives $1.2 Trillion from Income Tax.
Even
if America eliminates ALL non-military spending including Congressional
Salaries, America has to borrow money to meet the House Republican
approved military budget!)
The only way that the House can pay
for the currently proposed military budget which has spending that
exceeds income, is by taking tax money that is intended for Social
Security Insurance and Medicare.
FICA taxes are NOT supposed to be reassigned for military spending!
Separate 'pots' should be filled from the different taxes and used for separate purposes.
Social
Security funds should be put in a separate lock-box and the Republicans
denied the ability to raid those funds to pay for the military they
want!
<In 2011, America received $1,091,473,000,000 ($1.09 Trillion) from Income Tax and $181,085,000,000 ($181 Billion) from Corporate tax.>
